I called Oceanic just Monday as my latest follow-up requesting Al Jazeera
English: the man who took my call this time gave me the same runaround --
"if we get enough interest from subscribers and can negotiate a contract
with Al Jazeera English, you'll have your wish fulfilled."
I got the idea, but don't know if I can find time/energy to pursue it, to
write to the principals/presidents of local universities, colleges,
private schools (and the State head of the Dept. of Education -- Pat
Hamamoto?) and request that they, for the sake of their students'
education, make institutional requisitions for Al Jazeera English and
force Oceanic to take action. Ms. Welford can help/spread the word in her
